But things you might associate with fun, can also be used for exercise. Activities such as walking the dog, dancing, swimming, biking, kayaking, hiking, jogging are all fun to do and aren’t in the confines of a scary gym. You don’t need to be a marathon runner or anything. The goal here is to lose your thighs, not even a bodybuilding competition or triathlon. If are not used to exercising and want to start slow, I recommend walking daily. You can start walking for 5 minutes only and increase your tolerance for intervals of 5 and eventually move up your routine to walking for an hour. Do it once a week, then twice, three times, then 7 days straight. Bring a friend, bring an mp3 player, bring a dog, but you definitely start enjoying the clean, crisp air of your neighbourhood.

People who tell you that you can eat whatever you want and lose weight are also lying. Your health suffers in the long run. Drinking coke when your body needs water will eventually catch up to you. Many times there is one area of our body that is tougher to get rid of the unwanted fat. A common tough spot is the butt and thighs. If you want to lose weight in your thighs, you may have tried exercises targeting that area. But you need to know that while exercises can target an area for toning: There are no exercises that burn fat in a specific area of your body. Exercise is great to tone an area, but it is a very poor way to burn fat.

Exercise is necessary to tone and for cardiovascular health, but the best way to burn fat is with diet. In order to lose thigh fat fast the answer is diet. I know. I mentioned that dreaded four letter word: diet. Before you turn me off consider the following:

• If you eat fewer calories than you burn, you will lose fat eventually. There are no exceptions.

• There are only two nonsurgical things you can do to sculpt your body: (1) add/ lose fat or (2) add/ lose muscle (muscle can only be lost through atrophy/lack of use).

• An average person must run or walk about 5 miles (8 km) every day to burn one pound of fat per week BUT YOUR DIET MUST ALLOW IT – NO EXCEPTIONS – or your exercise is just wishful thinking.

• If an average person consumes 500 calories per day less than they burn, they will lose about a pound a week with no extra time or physical effort required.

• It doesn’t matter if you run or walk a mile…you will burn the same number of calories either way. It doesn’t matter how fast you run that mile. It is only the distance that you walk or run that determines how much energy you burn.

You can burn fat in your sleep! You don’t have to do aerobic exercise to burn fat. In fact, most of the calories you eat will be burned just to maintain your body temperature – diet.

• It doesn’t matter how hard or how long you exercise, you will not lose any fat if you eat too much. You can always eat more calories than you can burn. When it comes to burning fat, diet always beats exercise.

There are no supplements which will make your body burn fat. You can only do it with diet control.
